So Today was the SAFARI PARK day and it was wonderful! Really worth the money. Anyhow, animals were a arm lenght away, we left at 9am and got back at 3pm....it was a very LONG day! We later went to an Irish pub, yes an Irish pub in China for dinner.

Some details on Ta-ta....
-she makes the sweetest face when se gets some food in her mouth
-she turns her cheek if you pucker up so you can KISS those wonderful cheeks
-she has the softest cheeks ever!
-she has a pretty gentle soft personality
-she does not like MEN at all and not too many woman, although today she went to another mom in our group.
-she HAS to have something in her hands at all times and if you take something like a disolving cracker, she freaks out!
-she walks around the hotel room pretty confidence, it is small and i guess seems safe.
-she 'stores' food in her mouth and savors it for along time and she will put alot in there! Because of that she is very very slow eater.
she understands chinese very well and the guide talk to her and tell her things to help her 'understand' what is going on. When she is having a break-down at 11am because she is tired, they try to sooth her.
-she won't let Chris hold her, but tonight, she put her arms up and it was quick, but she let him pick her up...all in time! So family, i hate to say, she will not want held by you for awhile. This is not an ELLA we have!
-eat about anything right now, doesn't like cold, like yougart and ice cream.

Today was the MEDICAL EXAM.......My HEART gave BIRTH to a 27lb, 33" child-Whoa-wee!

We headed out at like 9am, had the kids VISA pics done and then went to the very CRAZY medical office, so insane....very very busy! There is quite a few families in our BAAS group!

This baby girl had a very rough night, she screamed and pitched a fit for 2 hours from like 11-1am and ended up sleeping on me most of the night...She like to hide her face in the pillows and blankets!

Never mind my face but this was the craziness of the visa pics!

Today we went to White cloud Mountain, we did it before but we wanted Jack to get a chance to ride up the cable cars! The Weather SUCKED, cold, rainy and a bit of a wind!!!!! So we did what we could and then we went to the Yuntei Garden at the bottom at the mountain, which was wonderful and highly recommand, but again it was cool out!

Ta-ta was fussy, she like the hotel room and that is it! i have to carry her, She hates her daddy and screams in terror when he picks her up! There was alot of walking and he had to help me at some parts but she was not happy. I actually put her on my back with the ergo and she fell alsleep.

Yuntei Garden, very pretty, lots of pretty flowers and gardens and just neat displays!

This caught a few stares from the Chinese people, they were curious to see if 'it' was chinese baby!

LOVES the tub, tries to crawl in on her own, has not cried once with it, goes to show that her SWI did bath her often, her schedule says at 6pm every night!

2.9.12, Yuexiu Park and Orphange Visit!

So Today we started with a trip to a local big park called Yuexiu Park. There is the famous statue of the 5 goats(I think it is 5??) and alot of beautiful senery.

Our Guide said that woman retire at 55 and men at 60

and they don't have much to do so they go to the park.

You see the older folks doing hack-e-sac, dancing, exerice,

playing music, singing and so on....

Ta-ta is not too happy today, she fussed alot, she doesn't not like

anyone but me and perfers to be in the room. Her spirit really shines when it is just us in the room.

She is super sweet, pretty shy and quiet.

After the Yuexiu PARK we drove an hour to Shunde District to her children's Welfare Institute.

It was nice to see where she lived for 2 years of her life, but sad to leave the others. This orphange has very little, it was very cold where tiny little babies lay in their cribs. Toys, are only ride ons and a few balls laying through out. It was located on what appeared to be a back alley.

The CareTAKERS are very very very wonderful and truely sincere, all the aunties/nannies came out and greeted and hugged and love over our girl! The children yelled as she came in 'ta-ta is here'

The Children were smiling and that tells me alot! There is about 150 children here. Most never to be adopted and only 3 or 4 that are on a list waiting.

One little girl who i fell in LOVE with has a family i am told, LUCKY for the hubby because i too think he was smitten by her too!

The first lady grabbed her from me and she went willingly, but was confused!

Looking at an album i brought from another family and they LOVED IT!

Standing by her crib, she still remembered it was hers...they put her in it and she was very confused!

This is a severe HEART Baby.

This little guy had a BIG personality and he keep saying 'hello'.....

Simply breath-taking and waiting for her family i am told ;0)

These children just stole my heart, each and every one of them....the girl in the middle loved seeing herself and would look at each of herself on the camera.

They keep putting food in her mouth and they stuck candies,

cookies and crackers all through her coat and pockets, notice the mashmallow stick in her hood!

This lady i never saw in any of her updated photos but she seemed to really love ta-ta,

she cried and had to leave.

This guy was incrediable, so sweet and huggable....he loved the attention. I could of spent lots of time with these precious children, they melted my heart and i ached with sadness on the hour drive home.

Leaving and i couldn't look back....such a bittersweet day there.

FEB 8, 2012

Today, 2.8.12 we just 'hung out'....

we had breakfast, took some pics in the garden and went to our room and played for a bit!

Hubby and Jack went for another TAXI ride trying to find the toy district and to

pick up some our wash.

Ta-Ta and i took a walk to the 'trust mart' sort of like a walmart, 2 stories, but not fancy!

to get there you have to go across the street, BUT

you can not cross the streets in China because you will not survive, so you either have to go under through the subway or above, up steps to over pass.

We choose the overpass today. lots of steps and this baby weighs, i am guessing 27lbs and is HEAVY! I borrowed a stroller from the hotel and pushed her to the steps and then i carried her in one arm and the stroller in the other hand up the steps!!!!

I WAS HOT AND OUT OF BREATH!

there was 2 sections going up and 2 sections going down....CRAZY but we did it!

Then i got only a few little things, like children's books and cookies so coming down wasn't too bad!

It was nice to be out in the city and mingle with the locals. but i will say i was the only WHITE american out there and the fact i had a chinese baby, people really stare and only young teens girls will smile, the older people look at with blank stares :0P

Later this afternoon we went to the police station to apply for her passport and then we came back and had mexican, well she had congee and tea, she love loves hot tea and wingles back and forth when she is drinking it.

She is really not big on moving or walking yet and sits very still and plays with what is in front of her. Tonight when hubby wasn't here, she babbled a bit and she ga-ga(big brother) when prompted.

Her fingers are limp, doesn't have dexterity like Ella did, surprising i know. She was apparently catered to and was 'babied'.

She is very sweet and loves me :0)

She is starting to point to things and has a soft delicate cry.

Adoption Day, 2.7.12

We started our 1st day with Breakfast....

So i know you all came for the pics....She is a big big girl! At least 25 lbs , i would guess and a lump! Very Long too and she has some thunder thighs-LOL! She is quiet and reserved and doesn't move, she stays in one place and does not move around at all, maybe scared?

Still waiting for some smiles and personality, but for now she is taking us all in....She throw up tonight. I feed her a bowl of oatmeal and she had a swig of juice and puke on me and the floor...pretty gross. Not sure why, perhaps we are just too much and the day was overwhelming! She just went to sleep. We have a big day tomorrow so pics will be a bit delayed tomorrow!

Oh and they CUT her hair, like 4 inches, can't believe it! CRAZY but at least it is not a buzz cut!

Well in just a few hours, we will be untied with our MaiaJewel :0)

Today is also a very important Chinese Holiday/celebration. Today marks the end of the Chinese New Year and it is Celebrated by the RED LANTERN FESTIVAL. It is day of celebrating love and affection and cultivating positive relationships between families.

~That i believe is a pretty cool day to receive a new Chinese daughter!~

So what are we doing while we WAIT??? I had to go to the business center and make more copies of papers and get the gifts ready. My hubby went to find a BANK to exchange our money at a better rate for the adoption and Jack went along with Daddy in hopes that he would get a toy somewhere.....ha, yesterday we went for a walk to a special store and got 'lost' and well Jack didn't get his special toy, because til we got a taxi back from no-where land we were tired and grumpy and hungry!

Thank you all for following along and the continued comments and prayers....we need and feel them! I have no idea what to image this time around. Everything is so different from last time and it doesn't seem right not having our traveling family, the WEAVERS with us...We are thinking of you J and S and wished you could be with us:(

We will be leaving here at 2pm to go to the civil affairs office in Guangdong prov. They do the highest number of adoptions in China per year and it is always crazy full of adopting families.

On a side note, there is alot of Chinese children here in the hotel and i am a big sucker for Chinese babies and children. I could just snatch them up....last night on TV, they had orphans asking crowds for mamas and babas..so sad, i was like where is it and lets go get some....The LORD has certainly placed something in my heart that melts it every time i see these precious children.

We also saw our Guide Helen from 2009 and she is so sweet!

FEB 5, 2012

Spent the morning walking around and then going to the

local market to get some supplies.

Weather today was about 67 and over-cast, pretty spring like!

Shopping trip to a 'walmart' type store.

Food section of the store, Jack loved the fish, it was like being at aquarium!

It is 12:40am on Feb 5th here! We got in to Guangzhou at about 9pm and went through immigrations and customs! ALL our suitcases made it, and we even had to check our carry-ons from hongkong to GZ! Very full plane with limited space! Easy 35 min flight! I thought i would LOSE all the carry ons, it was CRAZY getting our suitcases, many many people and just plain craziness!

The flight from JFK to Hong Kong was fine, thankfully! I slept for about 4 hours and Jack slept some too! I think China might be a bit fast pace for him! He has not eaten anything yet! We ordered room service just a bit ago and it was very very good! 2 types of Chinese noodle dishes and i cracked a coke out of the mini bar =$$$$, !

Anyhow, we are off to sleep and see what tomorrow brings! We have 2 guides this week, not the normal but there is alot of families coming to GZ this week! We had Elvin tonight, who i have heard of in the adoption world and he is very very wonderful! Tomorrow we have a Joanna, not sure who she is, but guess we will find out!

Our Hotel is beyond wonderful! Jack just kept saying 'wow and whoa' Will be taking pics for you all!

Oh and for the record, Hong Kong airport is BIG, i am way way out of shape and i could not keep up-I will be paying for it tomorrow! Wait till i have a big ole baby strapped on me! We had to take a shuttle/train/tram/bus thing to our departing flight and it was insane!

We get Maia on Monday at 2pm(1am home time)....so i won't be blogging until later that night!

Because her orphange's formula is paid for by donors through Love without boundaries, they often post pics on their facebook page....and this was posted TODAY!

Today is DAY 14 of waiting for TA that is the AVERAGE WAIT!

The shortest has been 3 days and the longest has been a month!

Our agency said 2 weeks, 3 at the most.....well if we don't get it by WED the 18th then we won't be get it til FEB because of the Chinese New Year and that means no travel to end of FEB!

so whatever, nothing i can do to make it come.....just have to wait!....

What do y'all think of her hair...can't believe they have let it grow....taking lots of hair accessories!

Can't wait to see what her forehead looks like with no bangs ;-)

This is email basically was telling me that a pile of paperwork will be sent from southern China to Beijing and the Chinese Adoption Affairs will issue our TRAVEL APPROVAL(insert relief and more happiness, topped with stress too)

Hoping for 'we will finally meet her day' of 02.06.2012

On another note, the SWI finally has shared some NEW pics of our growing by the bucket load of our Dear little Daughter! She is very very full, she is packed up with layers of clothes as it was probably chilly there...they had some sort of festival for Christmas, lots of older girls dressed like Angels complete with Wings and crowns! And the children have Santa hats, so i was happy to see that, perhaps they had some sort of holiday or winter festival.

Our little Buddha has cheeks that lay on her chest, oh my...Love without boundaries provides their formula as the children used to be malnourished at this orpahnage, not her, she is getting lots of formula now from sweet donors. She get formula and rice and on occasion they provide fresh fruit, very limited on food.

She is currently 22 months and I am told she is weighing 24 1/4 lbs and is 32.7". My Ella is 33lbs and 37" just to compare. I am sure these measurements are off...guess we will find out when we get her!

I can not wait to hold this big ole lump of love! They are letting her hair grow as i ask as you can tell her bangs are hanging in her face, i will be doing her hair so sweet. Guess i pack the textured and blending scissors.

yesterday afternoon (12-15 China time), which is really today.

THANKFUL & stress relieved.

LOOKING like we may have a gotcha day of 1/30 or 2/6,
they are always MONDAYS, gotta wait for China to tell us, but these are my HOPEFUL Guesses!

Oh and on an adoption note.....Our 800 approval was delivered today via snail mail, it was then email to our rockin agency rep and i called the NVC and we are ALMOST in the system, she said call back tomorrow;0)

Our 800 was approved,

not sure when,

but got an email from our officer

that our applications

was approved and in the mail, PRAISES!

so now what does that mean to none AP???

it means that they will fed ex it to NVC(national Visa Center)

and they will "cable" it to the US Embassy in Guangzhou

for petition of our childs visa!

AND......

Then we get a letter from them and then we forward it to our AGENCY

and

they send it to their REP in CHINA and then they take that & other paperwork(article 5) to

the consulate in China to make sure it meets the qualifications for an immigrant visa.

Tired yet, wait there is more.....

Once it is good it is picked up and sent to the CCAA in bejing, for Travel Approval(TA)

then we go to CHINA!

so 3 more steps which i put in bold!

ETA to china about middle of FEB 2012!

AND then we go to China!

A traveling family was visiting her SWI and was able to snap a few quick shots, just taken today! They said she was napping and that Guangdong was rather chilly, 60 degrees and her face is very chapped...i actually touched it up a bit, it was very red, almost burned looking!...hope her scadling bottle didn't run out on her....anyway, it is nice to get updates since our 800 was rejected and will take another 3 weeks to get approved;0(

Then.......14 months old

How time flies..............

and Now.....3 years old!

Follow up to Surgery....

So we are 1 week post op....

She is doing well and is pretty much back to her little self, however we did have a set back after surgery!

Ella's surgery went as planned and she came into recovery about 3 hours later, why it went so long i am not certain.....she tried to sit up as soon as she came out of the anaesthesia and was mean and uncooperative!

Once she figured out where she was and that i was there, she seemed to settle down....we waited a bit for her room...she ate and took her meds as needed. She stayed FLAT on her back and was content watching TV non-stop.

The following afternoon we got her up and moved her to a sitting position and the DRs seemed like she was able to go home. Once home we got her cleaned up and back to bed.

Thursday early morning, she woke with a fever of 102.5 and that is when the worry set in...a few phone calls later, we were told to go to the ER where her surgery was done. We saw like 5 Drs from the Neuro Dept and she was again admitted( after waiting 9 hours in ER) We were worried about Meningitis.

She was observed overnight and a nurse was in every 45mins to check on her status....We had a lot of prayer warriors at this point! Her fever disappeared and we were clear to go back home that Friday afternoon!

It was a lot, but we are thankful that she did not present anymore symptoms for Meningitis, it was a scary week, but we are home!

On a adoption note,

Our 800 came back in the MAIL=REJECTED!!!!

i forgot to check part 2 #4 on the form....so another set back!

Tethered Cord surgery

Ella will be having surgery on tuesday to release her tethered cord, so if you could hold her in your thoughts and prayers that would be great!....We will be in the hospital 2 days, hopefully she will bounce right back.

This Dear little one meandered into my inbox at around lunch today.......

Knowing that i photos should be coming, i wasn't totally shocked! Ann @ redthread had to work her MAGIC for the last week to get them from the SWI, they are not quick to get things out!

Anyhow, this baby is soooo sad, soo sober and really looks like she needs some LOVE ;0)

I am going through them, they were kind enough to send about 16 and of course I have to add my own twist on the pictures!

I sent a CARE PACKAGE, I wanted the older kids that don't get special attention to enjoy some cake and sweets with our GIRL, that is another story!

I can't say that the children in the photos are what we would consider having FUN, really to be blunt, i got rather upset, that i can't help them! That have no one waiting! BREAK MY HEART!

So i will post some more soon, however i am a bit speechless, not from my beautiful dear daughter that WAITS for us, but for the ones that WAIT for nothing!....

No matress, no blanket and i know the day this was taken it was over 100 degrees and they have no A/C but i hear it is not so hot in there! I guess 'lack off' it keeps germs down???

So little miss Sunshine, turned 3 and we had a YELLOW party to CELEBRATE!

we had Yellow cupcakes, Yellow Favors, YEllow Ballons, Yellow Flowers, Yellow Juice, YEllow Treats and Luckily most of the guests wore YELLOW!

Most of her friends decorated a flower for her to have....

The girls helped with the opening of presents, while the boy cousins played on the swingset!

These 2 girls have been together for almost 2years now and they are truely a gift to each other, but groofy too, well mine is! We love you Taylor!

The KIND wonderful woman that visited her son and our DD SWI got to hold and talk to her..

Her son weighs about 26lbs and Maia is much bigger so we are guessing a

Wopping 30lbs, which is what Ella weights!

MaiaJewel is 18months old here!

I was informed they woke her and dress her and even combed her hair!

Our Max was a Thick baby and so too will this one!

FINALLY, after a week delay(couier issues), we are finally on our way!

So what does DTC mean for those who don't follow ADOPTION lingo?

Well it means that our Dossier(D) is on it's way to(T) China(C)

That is right, all the paperwork that has been done and notarized, state certifited in PA and signed by Hilary and then authenicated in D.C is on it's way to China!

Then it will be TRANSLATED and logged in their system!

Next step, LID(log in DATE)

( about 2 weeks til that)

It is has arrived in Guangzhou China in the hands of the

Orphange Director where our Little MaiaJewel is.

this too is where her son lived for 18months of his life!

They say our children are 'special friends'....hmmmm?

So after MONTHS of getting the paperwork together and having it

NOTARIZED

STATE CERTIFIED

AUTHENTICATED AT CHINA EMBASSY

AND THEN WAITING ON

IMMIGRATION FOR APPROVAL

We have FINALLY received our 800a approval to adopt from CHINA!

that one piece of paper took 60 days folks!

It came T.O.D.A.Y

Yes i stalked our mailman and drove around our neighborhood looking for him for an hour in the

pouring down buckets of RAIN, just so i could get our approval and have it completed in a

timely fashion!

So now that piece of paper has been notarized, state certified here in PA and now on its way to be signed by Hilary and then onto the China Embassy by courier to authenticated in D.C!

Then our ~~lovely~~ courier will FED EX it to our ROCKING china coordinator and

HOPEFULLY

We will be DTC(DOSSIER TO CHINA) on Friday!

Can i get an AMEN?

FINALLY,

now this is not guaranteed but it is hopeful that FRIDAY our dossier and every

tear and blood shed for it will be inching it's way toward baby girl #2!

and any adoptive parent knows that blood was shed, right when that nurse stuck that needle in our arm for the blood work....ouch :0(

so a bit of relief has come over me...to be freed of the mountain of paper until we our next step....

So bring it on

if we can her by the years end, we will be happy people!

So we made these cookies the other, with the hopes they would be good....

AND yes they are! i recommand putting choc. chips though!

We used FLAXSEED MEAL, which helps with fiber and regulation, which ELLA has issues with!

Crispy Shortbread Cookies

1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter
2 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup ground flaxseed
1 cup rice krispies

1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans
1 cup quick oats

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat together the white sugar, margarine, egg, vanilla, and applesauce in a large bowl. Set aside. In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cream of tartar. Set this bowl aside also. Grind 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans in a coffee grinder, then grind 1 cup flaxseed. Combine all the set aside mixtures with the nuts and flaxseed, then add in the quick oats and rice krispies. Drop by rounded heaping teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 50 cookies. Each cookie contains 1/3 tablespoon flaxseed.

So yesterday i shipped my 800 papers and my HomeStudy to USCIS!

It was recieved today at about 10am.....now the WAITING begins again!

About 2 months until approval and another month or so for everthing to CHIN@.....and then more waiting!

Happy weekend all, at least that is one more thing off our adoption checklist!

Today at church..........

The pastor ask the congregation ' are there any JOYS happening in anyone life we can share?'

So a few people shared their joys and happiness and then my 8 year old son (#1), raised his sweet little hand and the pastor pointed to him and said 'go ahead'....

#1 said ' for another baby sister from China'

The Pastor then of course Congratulated us and thanked my husband and i for building our family through adoption!...

But the fact that my son consider his new sister that waits a joy, just melts my heart! oh and on another sweet note, he rocked Ella before bed the other night....another melting moment.

So yes there are rainbows in my world, perhaps not what some would consider a rainbow, but to me it is!

'A mother's biggest JOYS are that of her children', love that quote, don't who wrote it!

The morning at the lake!

We spent the morning at a local lake, it is FREE and the boys love the wild life, i am not so much into it, but what ever for the kids is fine with me!

Ella really is just like me, not so much into the yuckies!

she will play but prefers to be clean and eat, not much about water!

Ella had Taylor(from the weaver's world) over to play the other day, they did well together and made lots of 'food'!!

Ella and Taylor are forever friends, our families recieved our girls on the same day and traveled together the whole time!

We sent her a CAKE to celebrate her belated birthday and her soon to be FOREVER FAMILY!

Her beauty melts this mama's heart........can't wait to hold this bundle, and a bundle she is, she weighs 10kg, OMGoodness!

She is in a SWI in GZ and they recieve formula from donors through LWB- i am glad for this, because i am told that in previous years children were really failing to thrive, before the formula program.

Follow up PART #3{ella's mei-mei}

Ella has been 'requesting' one for awhile and she is more then excited to be getting one!

The journey begin in the new year, as we prayed for direction and of course for Daddy's heart, each and every night she would pray for everyone near and dear and then for her Daddy's heart.

The tug or tap begin for me shortly after we arrived home from Chin@ and My hubby even mention Chin@ again when we were there, however the adjustment period once home was a challenge and i will admit wasn't easy. It was hard but it was temporary too.

So we talked about and talked about and i NEVER pushed(i wanted too) and God willing his heart was changed and he said 'why not', why shouldn't we, i guess there was too many answers to his questions and his doubts were clearly changed and Ella asking in her ever sweet voice i think helped a bit too!

So we begin looking at files with a particular agency and filled at a info sheet with possible SNS. We later got wind that this particular little one was coming available.

We requested her file, based on NEEDS alone, never saw photos, figured pics were in file!

No pics, email agency and she email the photos instantly and i forward them to my hubs and he called me BACK INSTANTLY ;0), i mean, WOW that was quick and...............

him- what is her story

me - i am not completely sure, post op imperforated anus, let me read more of the file

him - well she is very very cute, let me know what you read and if you follow up with IA DR

me- OK, call you later

i email file over to IA DR and waited for her to call back......We were pleased with what the DR had to report and decided to move FORWARD!

It was rather SIMPLE!!! She is ours, i really felt that! I can not stand how strong that feels to know it! I looked at alot of files with Ella and some prior to this one, i won't lie, so seeing her claiming her as ours, is nothing short of a wonderful! After LOCKING her, i felt really good, i had NO doubts, no questions and a calm inside! WOW another little girl!

I know that the road won't always be butterflies and rainbows, I know that there will be issues with communication and tantrums and of course her medical could turned to be worse or better then translated, but in the end she will have a family that can get the medical attention she needs!

She there you go............Daughter #2, a sister, a mei-mei and wonderful little love to LOVE!

Well i must say that i have been DRAGGING my feet on these posts, not that i wanted to, but because unfortunately their is people that are more concerned with how we spend our LIVES and don't see the whole picture and they really just ASSUME and paint the photo the way they want!

- IT BREAKS MY HEART!

Ella was a shock on alot of folks, and she was an eye-opener for us as well! People were afraid for us, they either fell silent or said that maybe we bit more then we could chew....isn't they why we study SNs, isn't that why we put on our HS what we will accept and isn't that why we have to be poked and examined by Dr's and SWs and have papers filled out to the mountain top, to be good mentally and physically...ISN'T IT? Oh and don't forget the 10 hours of training we have to get, so that we are prepared to parent a child that is adopted, to parent a child that was raised in an institute, to parent a child that may have a SN and to be able to handle the grief but also the bonding a child goes through as they ADJUST to their NEW LIFE!

We don't bite more then we chew, but sometimes OTHERS SPEAK (negatively)when they should NOT!

Ella SN is not that her fingers are 'deformed and missing', her only SN may be that her LIFE begin in a less then perfect setting.....WE ALL COULD OF BORN ANYONE, ANYWAY, ANYWHERE SO OUR RIGHT TO JUDGE IS NOT OURS!......ONLY HIS!

GOD knowing placed her perfectly into our world and she has changed not only me, but has proved that SNs are truly in the eyes of the the beholder!

SHE HAS NO SN TO ME!..SHE IS PERFECT

We knew she wasn't anything we couldn't deal with, WE TOOK THE STEP FORWARD WE DID MOVE IN FAITH and we will be moving forward in a semi-blind walk again...BUT oh how are hearts are ready and we can do it-

What matters is that their is a child who needs a family and their is a family who wants a child....really quite S.I.M.P.L.E

I am so GLAD though that in short matter of time of posting the last post, the comments started to roll in and it certainly did warm my spirit!...THANK YOU!! Well honestly the comments are all from APs and we all support each other, we all fill the pull and answer the call!...

I feel the need to post on something....ADOPTION!!!

I can not tell you how ADOPTION has ~~changed~~ ROCKED my world, not just by adding a VERY CUTE little DAUGHTER but by the networking, the connection that we as AP have to each other! I just finished emailing a lady who DD will have surgery by our surgeon and it is nice to know that she will have an idea of what to expect!

I know when we were waiting for our ELLA, that i was able to talked to other AP out there with children with similar SN and it eases the fear the devil places in us.

ADOPTION is a learning curve, for the better, i can not tell you how i view the world now with clearer glasses and see things and understand things that I didn't get or fail to, becuase i had claimed the world as mine when in fact we are to be LIVING a life for 'him'!

ADOPTING ELLA has opened the eyes of all those around her, and that SPECIAL NEEDS is truely in the eyes of the beholder! Special needs does not define your limits, perhaps it is us that had the special need-The inability to see what we have and not what we don't!

ELLA is more than i could of wanted and much more than a dream, missing fingers-ha that is NOTHING to a missing family.

ADOPTION is a learning process, an eye opener for those that were blind but now choose to see! I was so blind, more blind then i should of been, Thank you LORD for your eyes and bringing something more in my LIFE then a label on a piece of paper could define!

I know i love the movie, one of my FAVs....our 8 year old is only allow to see certain parts and it is NOT the part were QUINN gets chewed alive or when the surfer boy 'disappears' but he is allow to see the shark, the boat and the water and Cheif Broady shoot the Son of a B!#*h!.....I know i saw this when i was little along with the Pirahanna movie whiched i also loved and i am ~~NORMAL....~~

No judgements please!...But i did want to showcase one of his works of art, which i might add he drew during church service...at least he was sitting still and not playing his DS like some kids do, which i think is totally wrong, opps, guess i am judging...BAD MAMA, i am!

Ella had another surgery today

Hello all...

Just wanted to let you know she had surgery on 2 fingers today...both fingers are short, but the ring finger's bone was growing too fast and actually poking out the end, so he trimmed/shaved the bone to match up with the skin. The middle finger, is more round, the bone formed a rounder form when the anmotic bands constricted it so the DR is basically just trying to make it thinner, more finger like. This is the 3rd or 4th time he has removed fat and tissue from this finger...

All and all she is good, a bit ticked when she woke from surgery, but home now and doing good. Her hand is wrapped for a few days and then we get to take it off and let it continue to heal!

This should be the last surgery...we are very pleased with the children's hospital in Philadelphia, the DR is funny and amazing and of course the staff is very very very nice and KIND.

So over the weekend we had a BIRTHDAY PARTY! Totally crazy, but kids love parties....

DINOSAUR THEME and i think we had a hit!

We had DIG kits to start, where the kids digs for 'dino' bones, then we had to wash our b~~ody, clothes~~ and hands because one particular mama was NOT THINKING about the sand/dirt that comes along with all that DIGGING-ha.

Then we had CAKE....

what a great job my MIL does creating her grandchildren's sweetest dreams!

We also had some cupcakes with little plastic dinos in them.

We played 'don't wake the dino'...gotta try and take one the eggs from his nest-SHHHHH, if you wake him up you gotta be the sleeping dino.

FUN game!

Then we did 'hatch your dino'(little dino stuffed in a ballon)

and of course no dinosaur party is complete with out ADOPTING your own

DINOSAUR right!

then it was ~~naptime~~ clean-up time.....

Ella later that night with the ballons!
